Obituary of Thelma Odom
Mrs. Thelma Louise Crenshaw Odom, age 88, of Barnesville passed away Monday, August 17, 2009 in a Barnesville Healthcare Facility. A native of Pulaski County, she had lived in Lamar County for a number of years. Daughter of the late Mr. Jessie Edward “Ellis” Crenshaw and the late Mrs. Lola Barlow Crenshaw, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Walstein Gertman Odom. Mrs. Odom was a Seamstress with The William Carter Company, and had been an Avon Representative for a number of years. Mrs. Odom was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: Her Daughters - Dolores O. Moore (& Jimmy J.) of Barnesville, Jacqueline L. Wilcher of Macon, LaFaye O. Long (& Stanley F.) of Thomaston, & Teresa O. Roberts (& Kenneth D.) of Barnesville ; Her Sons - Reginald W. Odom (& Joyce) of Pontotoc, MS, Ronald R. Odom (& Sue) of Barnesville, & Milton E. Odom (& Debra) of Barnesville ; Her Brothers - William M. Crenshaw (& Virginia) of Young Harris, GA, Billy S. Crenshaw (& Janice) of Palatka, FL, & Samuel L. Crenshaw (& Sheila) of Cochran ; 21 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren, & 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Thelma Odom will be conducted Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 2 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 6pm until 8pm.
The family requests that, in Lieu of flowers, Memorial Contribution be made to The Gideons, or to the Donor’s Favorite Charity.
