Obituary of Murray Harmon
Mr. Murray “Jack” Harmon, age 52, of Barnesville passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 in a Bibb County Healthcare Facility. A native of Fulton County, he had made his home in Lamar County for a number of years. He was the son of the late Mr. Joseph Jackson Harmon and Mrs. Helen Taylor Harmon. Mr. Harmon had currently been Disabled, but had held many occupations through the course of his life including working the Loading Docks at Wal-Mart, Serving as a Minister, and one of his personal favorites, cleaning his church.
Survivors include: His Wife, Sylvia Harmon of Barnesville ; His Daughter, Christina Marie Layton of Hoganville ; His Mother, Mrs. Helen Harmon of Barnesville ; 2 Grandsons, Nathan Jack Layton & Troy Andrew Layton, both of Hoganville ; His Brother, Jody Andrew Harmon, and his wife, Andrea, of Lithia Springs ; 1 Nephew, Jacob Harmon of Lithia Springs ; His Mother-in-law, Inge B. Jackson of Barnesville ; Close Friends, Amy, Jade, & Javan Vaughn of Milner, Nicole, Russ, & Wyatt Walters of Barnesville, & Donny Sims of Barnesville.
Funeral Services for Mr. Murray Jack Harmon will be conducted Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 2 O’Clock in the Pike County First Assembly of God with Reverend Mickey Corley, Reverend Michael W. Smith, & Reverend Brad Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Lamar County. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville on Monday, June 22, 2009 from 6pm until 9pm.
