Obituary of Lanie Lifsey Long

Mrs. Lanie Lifsey Long, age 68, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Lanie was born on Saturday, July 28, 1956, in Barnesville, Georgia to the late Lester Gerdine Lifsey, Jr. and the late Dona Belle Colquitt Lifsey. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sister; Leslie Sperry; father-in-law, Charles W. Long; mother-in-law, Margaret Long; grandson, Ian Long.

She loved laying out by the pool, enjoyed RVing and going to the lake. Enjoyed going to the beach, watching sunsets when camping or at the beach. She played handbells at Church.

Lanie is survived by her husband of 49 years; Charles Randy Long; children, Blake Long, Bryan (Meagan) Long; grandchild; Kort Watson; siblings, Lester Lifsey, Britt (Ginger) Lifsey, Elisha (Tim) Dix, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lanie Lifsey Long will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024, First United Methodist Church-Barnesville with Pastor Ann Mann officiating. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home, and Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at the Church. Interment to follow Funeral service at Greenwood Cemetery.
