Obituary of Joseph Street

Mr. Joseph Brooks Street, age 61, of Milner passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. Mr. Street was a native of Charlottesville, VA. Son of the late Mr. Joseph Thomas Street and the late Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Street, he grew up in Hinesville, GA, where he Graduated in 1966 from the Bradwell Institute, and was a member of the 1965 State Champion Football Team. Mr. Street was a 1971 Graduate of Georgia Tech. He was a Former District Engineer of District 3 of the Georgia D.O.T. in Thomaston, and Retired as the Director of Construction for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. Survivors include: His Wife - Donna Street of Milner ; 2 Daughters - Penny Price (& Steve) of Barnesville & Darcy Dennos (& Steve) of Griffin ; 1 Brother - David Street (& Pam) of Biloxi, MS ; 3 Grandsons - Joe Price, Evan Price, & Andy Price, all of Barnesville ; 2 Granddaughters - Caroline Dennos of Griffin & Angie Farewell of Pocahontas, AR. Funeral Services for Mr. Jospeh Brooks Street will be conducted Friday, February 13, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Barnesville First United Methodist Church with Reverend Jay Tenney officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
