I have been in Gatlinburg, Tennessee since last Sunday (Feb. 8)and came tonight (Feb. 13) and had a message on my answering machine telling me the news. To say the least I was shocked. If Joe had been sick I did not know anything about it. Joe and I had worked together for quite a few years and spent a lot of time out on the road looking at projects when he was the District Construction Engineer. I celebrated my 62nd birthday yesterday (Feb. 12). It really saddens me to hear this. While we were in Gatlinburg this week I saw someone that reminded me of Joe and I mentioned it to my wife. This was quite a coincidence to see someone that I thought looked like Joe and to come home and hear this news. I am so very sorry for your loss. We will all miss Joe dearly. I wish that I had been home to attend the services. My wife and I grew up in Barnesville / Lamar County. Jim Graham at Balamo Building Supply left me the message about Joe on my answering machine.
