Obituary of Hollis Tessmer

Hollis Arthur Tessmer, age 79, of Barnesville, passed away on Sunday, December 06, 2009 at his home. Mr. Tessmer was a native of Juneau County, Wisconsin but he resided in Lamar County for a number of years. Son of the late Mr. Walter William Tessmer and the late Mrs. Ethel Leone Eden Tessmer. Mr. Tessmer attained multiple careers during his lifetime. Mr. Tessmer was Supervisor of the Yarn Warehouse at The William Carter Company for over 10 years, he Retired from the U.S. Air Force after over 20 years of Service to his Country, he served as Head of Transportation for the Lamar County School System for 23 years, and he owned Hollis’ Wood Shop for 12 years. Mr. Tessmer was also a proud member of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include: His Wife - Lynn Tessmer of Barnesville ; 1 Son - Hollis Arthur Tessmer, II (& his wife, Cindy) of Phoenix, AZ ; 1 Daughter - Ethel Elizabeth Tessmer of Hawkinsville ; 1 Brother - Gustave George Tesmer of Baraboo, WI ; 2 Sisters - Lucille Elaine Reinecke (& her husband, Duane) of Loganville, WI, and Anita Marie Meyer, of Illinois ; Grandchildren – Heidi, Mellisa (& Casey), & Holly Anna ; & 1 Great Grandson – Trenton ; Several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Hollis Tessmer will be conducted Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11 O’Clock at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, December 8, 2009 from 5pm until 7pm. Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville is in charge of arrangments.
