Obituary of Angela Murray

Mrs. Angela Jeaneen Gordy Murray, age 55, of Barnesville, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 in a Griffin healthcare facility. Mrs. Murray was born in Upson County to Mr. Walter Melvin Gordy and the late Mrs. Melvis Inez Wilson Gordy. Mrs. Murray was an employee of Carter’s mill and worked at Rose’s department store. She was a member of The Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Barnesville. Survivors include: Husband; – Timothy (Tim) Russell Murray 1 Son; - Peter G. Hudson Jr. (& Libby) of Madison Ga. 2 Daughters; - Casey Barker (&Brian) of Butler Ga. and Angel Hudson (&Travis Stubbs) of Reynolds Ga. Father; - Walter M. Gordy of Thomaston Ga. 1 stepson; - Kenneth Murray of Texas 1 Sister; - Helen Thomas of Stockbridge Ga. 2 Brothers; - Walter D. Gordy (& Elaine) of Toccoa Ga. and Robert Gordy of Thomaston Ga., 7 Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral Services for Mrs. Angela Jeaneen Gordy Murray will be conducted on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 2 O’clock at the Williams Funeral Home with the Reverend Heath Holly officiating. Interment will follow at Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral home on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
