Obituary of Evelyn Tanner

Mrs. Evelyn Harvey Tanner, age 75, of Barnesville passed away Monday, August 18, 2014 in an Upson County Healthcare Facility. A native of Toccoa, GA, she had lived in Barnesville for a number of years. Mrs. Tanner was the daughter of the late Mr. Lloyd Eugene Harvey and the late Mrs. Carrie London Harvey. She Retired from Southern Bell after 38 years as a Plan Assigner, and was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God. Survivors include: Her husband – Dennis F. Tanner of Barnesville ; 1 Son – David (& Carol) Tanner of Barnesville ; 2 Grandsons – Devin (& Karin) Tanner of Jacksonville, NC and David Michael Tanner of Barnesville ; and 5 Great Grandchildren – Davis Tanner, Dana Tanner, C.C. Tanner, Ryan Tanner, & Mia Rose Tanner. Funeral Services for Mrs. Evelyn H. Tanner will be conducted Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will be held Friday afternoon (8/22/14) at 2 O’Clock in Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, and on Friday morning from 10:00am until the service hour.
