Larry hired me 24 years ago as a secretary for Continuing Education at Macon State College. I worked in Continuing Ed for only a year before I was offered another job on campus working for the Vice President. Larry was a great boss and a dear friend.

Although I wasn't in Continuing Ed, I worked down the hall from Larry at Macon State for several years. Continuing Ed was the most congenial group on campus, and all of us on that hall had a lot of fun together while Larry was Director. We never did stop missing him! I know you'll miss him, too.

Nursing and Continuing Education shared office space in the "D" Building at Macon State. Larry's smile was a bright spot every day. He was devoted to Barnesville and would always remind me about the "Buggy Days Festival".
My sympathy to you in the loss of your brother and my friend.

Mr. Stirewalt taught me in high school at Gordon in 1966. I think because he was young & handsome, many of us girls had crushes on him! He was very nice and we all liked him.

I knew Larry from ASU over 40 years ago. Larry was always one of those people who had a ready smile and easy charm. Please know that he is thought of fondly and his family will be in my prayers.

I am very sorry to hear about Larry's death. We were neighbors for years on Laurel Drive and I have known Larry since he introduced my aunt and uncle at a Year's Eve party back in 1970. He was a very generous man that will be missed by many.
