Thank you - to all of Michael's friends and family who came to his Memorial Service, and to those who loved him but couldn't make it.
A Heartferlt Thank You - to those folks who kindly donated funds in Michael's honor, to assist his family with ongoing expenses.
And to those of you who contributed the beautiful flowers and plants. They lit up the room with fragrance and color Michael would have very much appreciated - with his artists eye.
Sincere thanks and appreciation go to those who personally shared your warm and wonderful stories with all of us...(some I knew - some I was happy to hear for the very first time)...
Shared by "The Primeway Boys," as Michael often called you -Gary,Ronnie,Frank,Scott...
Michael's brother in law David, our long time neighbor Chip, and his former Jackson Beverage boss, Bob.
I will always cherish and remember your eloquent words, and that beautiful song you sang Gary.
It was so nice to laugh in Michael's honor, and I know Michael would have laughed along with us too ;-)
Nobody appreciated a good laugh better than Michael!
It's taken me a while to respond on this page - but I know Michael would have been very pleased his friends and family came and spoke so lovingly about him - even though he was someone who didn't like to be fussed over.
Andy now lives with his sister Nan, in Wadley, Ga. and as usual, is always happy and smiling.
It was a beautiful service, I was very pleased - and per Michael's wishes - I know he was pleased too.
God bless and take care..
Warmly,
Laurie Cauthen

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone for all you did
following Mike's death. Your
prayers, words of sympathy,
and attendance at the memorial service greatly
comforted us. Many of you shared memories of good times
with Mike (many stories I had
never heard!). We will miss
him. Yes, Chip, each day does
bring us one step closer to him.
Andy misses his Barnesville
buddies. He is doing well and
making new friends in Wadley.
Thank you for always being
kind to him and looking out for him.

I know I have already signed the guestbook, but I wanted to remember for a moment a funny story. This was at the old city golf course. Mike, Ronnie, my Brother and I had several squirrels and we decided to cook them at the golf course with gravy and all the trimmings. After eating the squirrels we were sitting around talking and having a good time. We noticed a car had pulled down onto a area of land adjacent to the course where they practiced recreation football. The ground was very soft because of a huge amount of rain we had gotten recently. The covertly (or what we thought was covertly at the time) made our way close enough to see it was a couple trying to go parking. Things must not have gone exactly the way the guy wanted and they decided to leave pretty quickly. The soft ground and their haste to leave did not get along. He spun his tires and spun his tires. It took him a little while, but he finally got out and left. The 4 of us were trying are best not to lose it, but I know I at least could not hold it together. I had several friends growing up, but really only two that I would say were my best friends. That would be Mike Cauthen and Randy Berry.

I went to elementary school with Mike and I'll always remember us trying to jump the creek behind his house on Atlanta Street with our bicycles. We did great until Mike missed the jump. We all laughed until we cried.

My sweet Michael was loving, generous and so very funny!!
He was blessed with many wonderful friends, many he's had since childhood (you know who you are ;-)
With me, he shared his youthful memories... and made me giggle with delight at some of his antics - while fishing and camping out with the "Primeway Boys" as he called his close circle of friends.
So for those of you who knew him well...and have sweet and funny stories about him that you know we'd enjoy hearing - please share them with us at his service - OK?
Michael wanted us to laugh and be merry at his passing...he told me he didn't want us to be sad or somber.
I'm going to do my best to honor that wish.
He was my "one of a kind jewel" and I will miss him with all my heart!
I'll always love you my sweet angel, your sweetness is my weakness!
Love,
Laurie
