Obituary of Bennie Martin Woodall
Mr. Bennie Martin Woodall, age 87, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bennie was born on Sunday, July 19, 1936, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Joseph Guy Woodall and the late Bennie Edna Woodall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joyce O’Neal Woodall; brother, Bobby Guy Woodall.
Bennie proudly served our country in the United States Army, where he was stationed out of Fort Benning. He started the golf program at Mercer College; he was an avid golfer. Bennie was also a big Georgia Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed traveling and watching movies. Bennie was a big animal lover, especially his dogs.
Bennie is survived by his son, Martin Neal Woodall; sister-in-law, Marie Woodall; sister-in-law, Vada O’Neal and Carol Jean Kirkpatrick (Roy); brothers-in-law, Larry O’Neal (Sue), Bobby O’Neal, Thomas O’Neal; nieces and nephews, Michael Suggs (Susie), Dennise S. Morgan (Jeff), Willie R. Suggs (Dana), Jeanean Brooks (Rusty), Ellis O’Neal, Greg O’Neal (Laurie), Linda O’Neal (Greg), Lawrence O’Neal, Ethan O’Neal (Heather), Laurie O’Neal, Kent O’Neal, Danny O’Neal, Jeffrey O’Neal, Jennifer O’Neal, Jim O’Neal, Tammy O’Neal, David Foster (Teresa), Sherri Hunt (Lawson) & Becky Barrer; cousin, David Helms (Vicki).
A Funeral Service for Mr. Bennie Martin Woodall will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don McMurry officiating. Interment will follow the service in Lamar Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
