Obituary of Lynda Sue Trice
Ms. Lynda Sue Trice, age 80, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Lynda Sue was born on Tuesday, February 16, 1943, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late John Irvin and to the late Phyllis Maurine Harris Irvin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wayne Trice; as well as one sister, Maureen Harris.
Lynda Sue was a loving mother and grandmother, all of whom she loved with all her heart. She was a devout Christian who lived a life serving God and others. She was a member at First Baptist Church of Barnesville for 35 years. She had a career as a nutritional director for the school system and most recently worked as a consultant for the state in school system nutrition, in addition to cooking Wednesday night meals at First Baptist Church of Barnesville, and for special occasions. She was a friend to all, and anyone who knew her could see God through her. She was truly a woman of God.
Lynda Sue is survived her children; David Wayne Trice (Melissa Anne), Vikki Lynn Trice; grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Trice, Cooper Wayne Trice, Amber LaRue Castleberry, Benjamin Wade Castleberry; brothers, Craig Perry, Johnny Irvin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Ms. Lynda Sue Trice will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Barnesville with Reverend Jason Teal and Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the church. Inurnment will follow the service at Lamar Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Barnesville or to the Joslin Diabetes Center in memory of Lynda Sue.
