Obituary of J.R. Warren
Mr. Roger Waine “J.R.” Warren, age 53, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.
Roger was born on Saturday, March 14, 1970, in Tucson, Arizona, to Roger Waine Warren, Sr. and June Junell Warren. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Watson Warren and Juanita Warren; maternal grandparents, Thomas Cedell Helms and Dolly Ruth Helms. J.R. was an avid outdoorsman, he loved working with wood making beautiful pieces. He enjoyed his job for many years as an Air Traffic Controller. J.R. was a member of the Barnesville VFW Post 6542 where he served on the board. He was known as a person who would do anything for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his whole family, especially by his loving son, Casey.
J.R. is survived by his son, Casey Warren; parents, Roger Waine Warren, Sr. and June Junell Warren; sister and brother-in-law, Belinda and Mike Benson; special friend, Michele Pasley; previous wife, Gunda Blankenship and husband, Mike; nieces and nephews, Meagan Shelton, James Shelton, Austin Barnett, Amanda Black, Zachary Hendley, Roari Benson; great nieces and nephews, Ella Grace Shelton, Graham Shelton, Finley Shelton, Annie Barnett.
A Memorial Service for J.R. Warren will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at The Rock Tabernacle with Pastor Bob Keich officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the church.
