Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Idol

Elizabeth Anne Siegert Idol passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, September 21, 2023.

She was 99 years old.

Born on September 1, 1924, in Worchester, MA, she moved to Philadelphia, PA where she spent her childhood and attended Drexel College. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Roehm Siegert and Ethel Lembert Siegert, and by her brother Joseph Siegert of Philadelphia.

She married William Chase Idol, Jr., of High Point, NC, who predeceased her. She is survived by a daughter Elizabeth Idol, a daughter Katherine Winslow and her husband Steve, and a son William Chase Idol, III and his wife Cheryl of Milner Georgia, and grandchildren, Xavier Balderas and his wife Eileen, Monica Howe and her husband Joe Jordan, and Belinda Murray, and two great grandchildren, Xavier Balderas and Sean Balderas.

Anne was an avid swimmer, beginning as a child in Stone Harbor, NJ, and continuing throughout her life. She also loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and garden.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the caregivers and staff at Heritage Inn of Barnesville and to Affinis Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Anne's memory can be made to the Milner Community Library or to the Barnesville-Lamar Community Foundation fund for the benefit of the Milner Community Library.

There will be no formal services held at this time.
