Obituary of Thomas Norman Anderson

Thomas Norman Anderson Sr., age 73 passed away at his home Sunday, July 2, 2023. Mr. Anderson was born March 30, 1950 to his parents Hugh Bennett (Ben) and Freda Mae Adams Anderson.

Thomas was a graduate of Gordon Military High School class of 1969. He worked many years for the William Carter Company. After Carters closed he went to work for IEA where he really loved his job and coworkers and made many new friends. Later years he was a security guard at Aldora Mills.

He enjoyed working with his hands and could often be found tinkering in his workshop. Thomas loved his family and friends, his cats, and watching Pro Wrestling. Growing up in the 1960's he also loved his rock and roll music.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, his second wife Teresa Anderson, older brother Hugh B. Anderson, Jr., and his son Thomas N. (TJ) Anderson, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Wendy Anderson Greer. Grandchildren Taylor Anderson, Darien Greer, Haley Greer, Dakota Anderson, and Amber Anderson, His brother James Anderson (Linda), sister-in-law Rita Anderson and nieces Amy Anderson and Paige Anderson Van Lenten. His Uncle Thomas (Tommy) Adams and his children Renee and Tommy.

Funeral service for Mr. Thomas Anderson will be Monday July 10, 2023 at 3:00pm in the Breedlove Memorial Chapel. Friends may visit the family from 2:00pm until time of the service at the funeral home.
