Obituary of Lonnie Kyle Anthony Jr.
Mr. Lonnie Kyle Anthony Jr., age 60, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 1,2022, at his home.
Lonnie was born on Friday, May 18, 1962, in Misawa, Japan, to the late Lonnie Kyle Anthony and the late Joyce Ann Higgins Roebuck. Lonnie loved music and enjoyed going to concerts. He was a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan, but also enjoyed baseball, he was an Umpire for Lamar County and surrounding counties. Lonnie coached girls softball for many years in Lamar county and took so much pride in mentoring all he coached, including his own daughters. His patience, understandingand words of encouragement to all young girls that they could succeed in whatever they desired was evident and cherished. Lonnie also enjoyed cooking and was the best Papa his granddaughter could have asked for.
Lonnie is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Louise Anthony, of almost 40 years; his children and their spouses, Rebecca Bishop and Chris, Jaime Anthony and Fiance Travis Holloway; granddaughter, Rachel Bishop; sister and brother-in-law, Christy Fuller and Joel; uncle, Robert "Bob" Higgins; nieces and husband, Jordan and Jacob Hall, and Riley Fuller.
Memorial Service for Mr. Lonnie Anthony Jr. will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Breedlove Memorial Chapel with Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home
The family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude's Place Memphis, TN 38105 in Lonnie's name.
