Dear family of Anderson Smith, I am so sorry to learn of Andy's passing from the Georgia Tech alumni magazine. Andy was one of the first friends I made at Georgia Tech during our Freshman year. His dorm room was next to mine at Harris Dormitory and Andy and the rest of the students at our end of the hallway became almost like family during that year. I'll never forget his kind friendship and sense of humor and still think of him to this day. Unfortunately we lost track of each other after graduation. Over the past 15 years, I've often Google-searched his name in hopes that we could someday make contact. Alas I was always unsuccessful. I will never forget the good times we had. Jane and Family, I just tonight discovered that Andy had died last month. Andy and I had very little communication in recent years, but I often thought of him and remembered the many good times and wild adventures we had as fellow students and dorm mates at Georgia Tech. I am so sorry for your loss and hope your good memories of Andy will ease the sorrow of his passing.
