Obituary of Sharon Diane Peugh Gilbert

Ms. Sharon Diane Peugh Gilbert, age 76, of Barnesville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Sharon was born on Friday, May 31, 1946, in Barnesville, Georgia, to the late Johnny L. Peugh and the late Mary Rose Green. She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 37 years, Richard S. Gilbert. Sharon was known to be a good and loving granny to her grandchildren as well as her great-grandchildren. She loved animals, her favourites being dogs and horses. Sharon is survived by her children and their spouses, Felecia “Dee Dee” & Kerry Oliver, Mark & Teresa Gilbert, Ricci Linn & Steve Estes; grandchildren and their spouses, Tara & James Glover, Kyle & Amanda Oliver, Patrick & Laurin Gilbert, Crystal Rose & Nathan Mann, Dillon & Kaity Gilbert, Troy “L.T.” Peacock, Cody & Amanda Peacock; 12 great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law; Barry & Christi Peugh; nieces, Kaysie Kirkland & Laurie Burmeister; extended nieces & nephews; special friends, Tony Turner, Brandy Turner, Sidney Asbell, Chris Session also survive. A graveside memorial service for Ms. Sharon Diane Peugh Gilbert will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Taylor McKneely officiating. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
