Obituary of Danny Martin

Mr. Charles Danny Martin, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Danny was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1943 to the late William Clinton Martin, and Louise Speight. He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife of 56 years, Linda F. Martin, son, Keith Martin, daughter, Amy Martin, and sweet mother-in-law, Fairy Fowler. Danny was an avid golfer and loved to get on the course as often as he could. He was always willing to help his fellow man whenever he was able. Danny was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church where he faithfully served for over 60 years. He also loved his yardwork and older cars. Danny is survived by his sisters, Carol Nichols, Sonja Blackmon, and Linda Valentine (Ivan); a host of extended family also survive, and Danny’s memory will be forever cherished by his beloved dog, Missy. A funeral service for Mr. Charles Danny Martin will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church in Yatesville, Georgia with Dr. Jeffrey Morgan officiating. The family will greet friends and loved ones one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Lamar Memory Gardens.
