I am so sorry to hear about Edwin. Although the only times I spent with my cousin was on holidays and an occasional Thanksgiving visit it became clear to me early on his love of the outdoors and his passion for his farm and cattle. I witnessed my first calf being born with the help of Edwin and a calving tool and I remember being shocked at the process! Edwin was always so generous to offer a hunt on his property if I could make the drive from Atlanta. Edwin will be truly missed by the Daniel family.

I was informed today of the passing of Edwin Foshee. I am very sorry to lose a lifelong friend. He and I were in the same class at Gordon, went to Church together, were in the choir together, and kept in touch through the years. I will really miss the fine man that he had become.

Edwin was one of the sweetest people I've ever met. He always had a "Go Dawgs!" for me, and always remembered to ask me how my dog, Ferguson was doing. He was a wonderful family friend, and will be greatly missed. All my love to his family. Rest in peace, Edwin.

Edwin was such a special man. We got to know him and his mother as such special members of our church family when we moved here in 1997. Edwin was devoted to everything in which he was a part; his church, the beautiful farm, his work of which he was an expert in so many areas, , his community and especially his friends and family. He was always such a gentleman and always so kind to my parents which endeared him so to us. The world is a better place because of him.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Lynda and Mike Brutz

Long before actually meeting Ed Foshee, I had learned of his expertise and his generosity as it applied to his cattle and farming skills and experience. Then, at church dinners, he demonstrated his genuinely gregarious, outgoing nature, as well as his great devotion to his mother's welfare, underscored on the several occasions when I visited them at their home.
I called on Ed twice at work, urging him to return to our church choir; yet Ed was ever affable, even jocular, as he refused.
In summary: Our world is richer for the generous gifts and talents of Edwin Foshee,
and we are poorer at the loss of this great, GENTLE, man. I mourn with his family in their grief.

Edwin was a good friend to me. I was Junior advisor for the simmental kids for many years and he and his mother were always there to support the youth and help with anything I needed. We shared some fun times and good laughs. Edwin left a large footprint and I’m honored that he was my friend. He has several good simmental people in heaven with him and I know they will have a great meeting and talk cattle. Edwin would not want sadness, but have fun and enjoy some more beef! God bless each of you.

I first met Edwin at a Georgia Simmental Association annual meeting in the early 90's. My being a new member, I hardly knew anyone, but Edwin came right up to me, introduced himself and made me feel very welcome. Later on, I purchased some bred heifers from DanFowin Farm and they were some of the best cattle that I ever owned. Edwin was a fine person and a great cattleman. He left a big footprint on the cattle industry in Georgia and he will be sorely missed.
