Obituary of Winnell B. Brock

Mrs. Winnell B. Brock, age 76 of The Rock, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Brock was born on Monday, November 8, 1943 in Miami, Florida to the late James D. Beckham, Sr. and the late Maxine Lott Beckham. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Freddie E. Brock, Sr.; her grandson, Richard G. Gay II. Winnell worked in Lamar County as a school bus driver and was a member of the Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus Christ in Barnesville. “I’m happy that God has given us many good memories to look back on and an even better future to look forward to.” This is how she lived. Winnell is survived by her children, Deborah Gaynes, Freddie E. Brock, Jr., India Ellerbee, Dakotah Beavers; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda Frost, Diane Hilton, Jimmy Beckham, Jr. A graveside service for Mrs. Winnell B. Brock will be Sunday, April 26, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in Lamar Memory Gardens with Pastor Richard Adams officiating. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Winnell B. Brock will be announced at a later date.
