Obituary of Kenneth Doyle Roberts, Sr.

Mr. Kenneth Doyle Roberts, Sr., age 66, of Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence.

Kenny was born in Springfield, Illinois on Wednesday, January 9, 1952 to the late French Jack Roberts and the late Annie Ruth Watson Roberts. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary Roberts and Alton Roberts. Kenny served the City of Barnesville for 47 years and since 1993 as City Manager. He loved to spend time with his family.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Teresa O. Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie & Brannon Mercer; son and daughter-in-law, Kenny & Christy Roberts; grandchildren, Ben Mercer, Grace Mercer, Camille Mercer, Blake Mercer, Abel Mercer, Katie Roberts, Maggie Roberts, Tripp Roberts, Lizzy Roberts, Bekah Roberts, and Jack Roberts; sister, Patricia A. Thompson.

A funeral service for Mr. Kenneth Roberts will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Lamar County Schools Fine Arts Center with Reverend James King officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
