My condolences to the family and all who loved Helen. The seeming finality of death is what makes it especially difficult. But we can have confidence that God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. (Job 14:14,15) His Word, the Bible, gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort.

Dearest Family,
I have just learned of Helen's passing and I am so sorry I could not participate in her "Home-going" personally. I remember her gentle spirit and soft voice even in difficult time in Lamar County. She was always a voice of reason in my early years as a teacher. Although she held fast to discipline and parental involvement, her genuine love for her charges was evident to them and those of us who served them with her. Heaven has gained an "advocate for children" and earth has lost a "Great Teacher." My prayers are for your comfort from our Lord.

The first time I met Helen, Jody and I were in high school. At that time I had no idea we would become family. At first I was a little intimated by her beautiful but stern look as we left as teenagers and she was giving us the rules. It was not long at all before I learned her true nature. She was devoted to her family and added humor to being a great mother and grandmother. Her dry wit and cute sarcasm will be missed and remembered forever. Oh, how she made me laugh.

Jody and all of Mrs. Hardy's family: She was a wonderful woman. Her greatness continues to shine in her loved ones with their memories and their lives as they live on. May the loving hands of our Heavenly Father hold you throughout the coming days as you adjust to not having her here on Earth. May the knowledge she is with other loved ones in Heaven comfort you in some manner for now. May the thought she will be waiting for you in Heaven give you peace. Hugs and love to you all.

She used her "dash" well and her influence is like a pebble dropped in the middle of a pond. My children and I, and so, their children, too, feel her influence through her precious daughter Jody. Prayers for comfort.

Our hearts are saddened to hear of Mrs. Hardy's passing. She was such a sweet spirit. She was my, (Anita's), favorite all time 5th grade teacher, no other teacher ever held a candle to her. Kenny and I both truly loved her and valued the friendship we had with her as adults. She will be greatly missed but I know she is happy in heaven with the ones that went before her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jody and your family.

What a beautiful tribute to your mom. She was spunky and a true southern lady. You were such a devoted daughter to her and also your aunt and brought her so much happiness. She fought a brave battle and has now won victory with her seat in heaven. Much love to you and the kids in the days ahead. You have an army of friends who are there for you!
Love you,
Becky

I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your Mother. She was always so sweet and I loved spending time at your house "playing" when we were young. You all were so special and I loved spending time with you and your family throughout our Midway Presbyterian years. You have had to deal with a lot of loss and I will continue to pray that you will sense God's special peace as you go through the coming days.

Helen was the first teenager that read the comics and colored with me.. I thought she was sooo cool.Through the years we've shared many family stories ...laughed,cried and was thankful we had each other as cousins. She was like a big sister to me . Jody has been a blessing to her and I know how much she loved her.
