I never met Mr Dukes but I feel as if I knew him all my life. My Daddy, Travis Weldon was his childhood friend. My daddy told the best and funniest stories about his childhood and they always included the name Plez Dukes. I would laugh with my daddy for hours about the stuff they used to get into. I always thought what a cool name "Plez Dukes", someone should put that in a book someday. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he will be truly missed. God bless you all and may you find God's peace that surpasses all understanding.

I would like to offer my personal condolences to your family. I hope that you will be able find strength in God’s promise at Revelation 21:4 that soon: “he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Diane, Dawn, Taylor, and the entire family; my thoughts and prayers are extended to heaven on your behalf as you mourn your loss of Plez. I often struggle with what to say when people are sad and grieving. Mere words alone cannot console your suffering. Only God can do that. Charles Stanley preached a sermon one time that explained how the Devil tempted Jesus and will tempt us at times when we are lonely or alone. That, along with hunger and exhaustion makes us vulnerable. Stay close together. Continue to be a cohesive family and grieve around like minded Christian people who can help bear you up to the Lord in prayer and support you. I remember a story about a little child that had gone next door to her grieving neighbor who had just lost her spouse. When the child returned home her mother noticed she had been weeping. The mother asked what had happened, what was said. The child answered her mother, "Nothing was said, I just sat on her lap and helped her cry." May God grant you all His peace and love that passes all our own understanding. David and Sherry White.
