Obituary of Sara Faulkner McBride

Mrs. Sara Faulkner McBride, age 85, of Barnesville, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at her home. Mrs. McBride was born October 27, 1930 in Barnesville, daughter of the late John and Martha Johnson Faulkner. She was a member of Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church in Milner. She retired from the Millanwood Company and worked for the William Carter Company for 31 years. Mrs. McBride loved gospel music, crossword puzzles and hummingbirds. Survivors include her daughter, Frankie Conaway of Tybee Island; son, Billy McBride of Barnesville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Wendell Becker of Zebulon; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Tricia McBride and son, Johnny McBride, all of Barnesville; grandchildren, Dave Forman, Tracy Forman, Bryan McBride, Thomas Becker, Kristen McBride, Kyle McBride, and Jessica Colvin; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jesse Faulkner, Frances Lowe, Bobby Faulkner, Ann English, Mildred Corley and Charles Faulkner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Monday at Rock Spring Congregational Methodist Church with Dr. Benny Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Rock Springs Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 before the service.
