Obituary of Johnny Peugh

Mr. Johnny Peugh, 86, of Barnesville, passed away Tuesday September 16, 2014, at his home. Mr. Peugh was born July 23, 1928 in Pike County, the son of the late John L. and La Lloge Davis Peugh. He was a member of Milner Baptist Church and was retired from the William Carter Company. Mr. Peugh also served in the U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Service. Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Gilbert, son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Christi Peugh all of Barnesville; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Rose Peugh. Graveside memorial services for both Johnny Peugh and his wife, Mary Rose, will be at 3:00 Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Ryan Christopher officiating.
