Obituary of Kenny Nixon

Mr. Kenny Nixon, 54, of Meansville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015, at his home. Mr. Nixon was born September 28, 1960 in Upson County, son of *Scarlett Nixon Collins and the late Burl Franklin Nixon. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Thomaston. Mr. Nixon owned and operated Nixon Contracting. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife of 30 years, Janet Nixon of Meansville, son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Jessica Nixon of Perry; daughter, Melissa Nixon of Meansville; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Nixon Ragsdale and Warren Ragsdale of Meansville; nephews and their wives, Allen and Julie Ragsdale of Thomaston and Brent and Kristen Ragsdale of Meansville; and one great niece, and two great nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 Monday at the Family Cemetery in Meansville with Pastor Mickey Corley officiating. The family will receive friends at Breedlove Memorial Chapel Sunday afternoon from 3:00 until 5:00.
