Obituary of Jeffrey Brantley

Mr. Jeffrey Ralph Brantley, age 53, of Milledgeville departed this life and joined our Lord on April 15, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Milledgeville, Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, the late Mr. Ralph Brantley and the late Mrs. Thelma Lorraine Harris Brantley, and by his granddaughter, Dina Nicole Coleman. He had been employed by Mohawk Industries, and had previously worked with his father as the father and son team of Brantley Trucking. He was loved dearly, and will be missed by all of his family and friends. Survivors include: His Daughter - Kristin Heather Brantley of Milledgeville ; 1 Brother - Greg “Steve” Brantley (and his wife, Elizabeth) ; 3 Sisters - Faye Brantley Head (and her husband, Dennis) of Lexington, KY , Judy Brantley Shipp (and her husband, “Duck”) of Milledgeville , & Norma Brantley Morris (and her husband, Tim) of Stockbridge ; Nieces & Nephews - Amy McElhenney (and her husband, Tommy) of Eatonton , Monica Ling (and her husband, John) of Gray , Spencer N. Williams of Barnesville , Amber Williams Giles (and her husband, Carlos) of Milledgeville , Cameron Williams (and his wife, Holly) of Milledgeville , Kelley Hoover (and her husband, Ted) of Pittsburgh, PA , Jenna Brantley of Macon , Summer Brantley of Macon , & Lauren Brantley of Macon ; Aunts & Uncles - Gerald Ayliffe of Thousand Palms, CA , Arnold Harris (and his wife, Betty) of Milledgeville , Iva Green (and her husband, James) of Milledgeville , & Fred “Sonny” Harris (and his wife, Mary) of Ivey ; and a number of cousins also survive. Funeral Services for Mr. Jeffrey Ralph Brantley will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11 O’Clock in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville with Dr. Ron Powell officiating. Mr. Brantley will lie in state for one hour prior to service time. Graveside Services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 O’Clock in Heritage Memorial Park in Milledgeville. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 6pm until 9pm.
