Obituary of Ruth Smith

Mrs. Ruth Moore Smith, age 95 of Barnesville, passed away on March 13, 2013 in a Barnesville Healthcare facility. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville for over 60 years, singing in the choir for over 25 years, a member of the Azalea club, and volunteered at Heritage Inn for many years. She also enjoyed traveling, music, playing bridge and volunteering in her community. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her late husband, J. R. Smith, a son Norman Smith, & her parents Erastus Ras Moore and Martha Jane Sandifer Moore. Survivors include her Son Douglas (& Judy) Smith ; her Daughter-in-law - Audrey Smith ; her - Grandson Carlyle (& Yarrow) Smith ; 2 Sister-in-laws - Mary Agnus Smith ; & Francis Smith ; & several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruth Moore Smith will be conducted at 2 O’ Clock on Friday, March 15, 2013 in the First Baptist Church of Barnesville with Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Barnesville from1 O’ Clock until the service hour.
