Obituary of William Jackson

Mr. William Edward “Bill” Jackson, age 76, of Yatesville passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Jackson was a native of Cartersville, and was the son of the late Mr. Edward Jackson and the late Mrs. Sara Alice Morgan Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a Mechanic and Farmer, having been employed by Riggins Poultry. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Barnesville, where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and member of the Adult Choir. Survivors include: His wife of 50 years - Deana Carver Jackson of Yatesville ; 3 Sons - Chief Petty Officer John Edward Jackson of San Diego, CA, Billy Dee Jackson (& Rhonda) of Barnesville, & Kristopher Dewayne Jackson of Barnesville ; Grandchildren - Taylor N. Jackson of Kennesaw, Isaiah Jackson, Destiny Jackson, & Selena Jackson, of The Rock ; 1 Brother - Harold Jackson (& Pat) of Norcross ; 1 Niece - Karen Watterson (& Kevin) of Richmond, VA ; and 1 Nephew - Stuart Jackson of Roswell. Funeral Services for Mr. William “Bill” Jackson will be conducted Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 2 O’Clock in the First Baptist Church of Barnesville with the Reverend Garth Forster officiating. Interment will follow in Lamar Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home on Saturday evening (November 24, 2012) from 6pm until 8pm.
